French Film Series on Southern CT State University's campus:
The French Section at Southern Connecticut State University is thrilled to invite you to our
upcoming film series themed “Mal à l’aise/Uncomfortable.” This carefully curated
selection showcases fantastical and sci-fi narratives where characters wrestle with deep-seated discomfort—be it with their circumstances, their promises, or the choices they
make.
Films will be shown on Southern’s campus in New Haven in the Adanti Student Center
Theater.

Yale French Dept. Ciné Club; Feb. 21 - April 25
The Yale French Department Ciné Club, organized by Apolline Cuchet and Saly Touré,
invites you to explore timeless classics and award-winning contemporary films that shape
French cinema. From animated films and political dramas to comedies and heartfelt
coming-of-age stories, there will be something for everyone! Screenings are open to
everyone in the Yale community. Films will be screened in French with English subtitles.

2025 Rendez-Vous with French Cinema Taking Place March 6-16, 2025
Unifrance and Film at Lincoln Center have announced the lineup for the 30th edition of
Rendez-Vous with French Cinema, running from March 6 to March 16. This celebrated
festival offers a dynamic showcase of contemporary French filmmaking, featuring an array
of 23 films by both emerging voices—some selected as part of Unifrance’s 10 to Watch
2025 Program, a yearly initiative honoring a new generation of directors and actors who
contribute to the vitality of French creation—and seasoned directors that tackle relevant
and enduring themes. This selection of North American, U.S., and New York premieres
celebrates the energy, innovation, and range of French cinema.
